Connecticut telehealth

Virtual psychiatric care for anyone in Connecticut, from any town, with no office to visit

Telepsychiatry for anyone physically in Connecticut during the visit, from any town. How state licensing, travel, and moving affect who JRose Wellness can see.

How eligibility works

  • You must be physically located in Connecticut at the time of each video visit
  • Any city or town in Connecticut counts, from the shoreline to the northwest hills, and there is no office to drive to
  • Licensing is per state: Jessica is licensed as an APRN in Connecticut, so visits cannot take place while you are in another state
  • Students and part-year residents can be seen while they are in Connecticut, and visits pause while they are away
  • If you move out of state, we will help you find care where you live and share your records on request
  • There is no office. Every visit is a scheduled video appointment from wherever you are in Connecticut

What statewide virtual care means in practice

No travel, anywhere in the state

Distance from a psychiatric provider is not a barrier. A private room and an internet connection are all you need.

The same provider every time

You see Jessica Logel, MSN, PMHNP-BC, at every visit, wherever in Connecticut you happen to be.

Clear rules, explained up front

Location rules come from state licensing, not from the practice. We explain them when you book so there are no surprises.

Common questions

Do I have to live in Connecticut, or just be there?

You need to be physically in Connecticut at the time of the visit. Most patients live here; students and seasonal residents can be seen while they are in the state.

What if I am traveling out of state when my follow-up is scheduled?

Let the practice know ahead of time and we will reschedule for when you are back in Connecticut. A visit cannot take place while you are physically in another state.

I am moving out of Connecticut. What happens to my care?

Tell your prescriber as early as you can. We will help you plan the transition, give you enough time to find a provider in your new state, and share your records with them on request.

Is there an office I can visit?

No. JRose Wellness is a telehealth practice. There is no physical office, and every visit is by secure video.

Do I need a referral?

A referral is not required to book with the practice. Some insurance plans have their own referral rules, so check with your plan. If you are using insurance, book through Alma or Headway; details are on our Insurance & Pricing page.

Is a video visit as thorough as one in an office?

For outpatient psychiatric care, evaluations and medication management work well by video. If a situation needs a hands-on exam or a higher level of care, Jessica will say so and help with a referral.
